About the Vidarbha Youth Welfare Society
V.Y.W.S., one of the oldest and premier educational institutions in the Vidarbha region was established in the year 1965. Founder president of the society, late Prof. Ram Meghe ex-minister of education, Maharashtra state, together with his colleagues Late Surendra B. Deshmukh, Late. Pundlikrao B. Gohad, Late. Prof. Dinkarrao K. Deshmukh, Late. Prof. Baburao D. Hiwase, Late Vasantrao N. Choudhary, Late Dr. Murlidhar R. Deshmukh, Late Shri. Shashikumar R. Deshmukh, Late Ramdas P. Dhande, and Shri. Shankarrao D. Kale founded the society with the sole objective of imparting quality education to needy youths in rural areas. The society aims to provide educational facilities to the people by opening schools, colleges, hostels, libraries, and technical colleges. Today the society has become one of the most excellent academic centers in Vidarbha with over 17 schools, 8 Junior colleges, 6 M.C.V.C. Colleges, and 12 Senior colleges providing formal as well as advanced technical education to 18000 students in arts, commerce, science, engineering, management, pharmaceuticals, medicine, etc. Honorable Dr. Nitin Dhande, President of the Society and other members of the executive body Adv. Uday S. Deshmukh (Vice-President) Prof. (Dr.) Hemant M. Deshmukh (Treasurer) Shri. Yuvraj Singh V. Choudhary (Secretary) Shri. Shankarrao D. Kale, Shri. Nitin B. Hiwase, Prof. Mrs. Ragini H. Deshmukh, Dr. Mrs. Vaishali N. Dhande, and Dr. Mrs. Poonam V. Choudhary, are devoting great efforts to its progress. Their valuable and timely guidance has always been a great source of inspiration to the staff and students.
